The Department of Plastic Surgery, J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University
conducted a one-day CMF (Cranio-Maxillofacial) Course on Facial Trauma Hands-on Workshop, providing a unique learning experience for delegates through state-of-the-art simulation and hands-on training.
Chief Guest, Prof. Habib Raza, Dean, Faculty of Medicine, praised the department for organizing such a valuable educational event. Guest of Honor, Dr. Shashank Chauhan, Additional Professor of Plastic Surgery at AIIMS, New Delhi, appreciated the hands-on approach and remarked, “Workshops like these bridge the gap between theory and practice, equipping participants with skills that are directly applicable in real-world scenarios.”
Prof. Imran Ahmad emphasized the international standards of the training and the use of advanced equipment provided by Johnson & Johnson, ensuring a cutting-edge learning experience.
Welcoming the guests, Dr. M. Fahud Khurram, Chairman, Department of Plastic Surgery, presented an insightful overview of the course, elaborating on its objectives and the significance of practical training in mastering facial trauma management. Supported by Johnson & Johnson, the course featured Synbone models for realistic surgical simulations.
Dr. Kaleem Ansari, Faculty in the Maxillofacial Department, served as a resource person, guiding delegates through the hands-on sessions. Dr. Asif and Dr. Nimisha conducted the proceedings, while Dr. Sarfaraz Ali extended the vote of thanks.
The workshop also saw participation from residents of AIIMS, New Delhi, adding a collaborative dimension to the enriching experience.
